This wedding was one of those fairytale-inspired stories, and the day lived up to the couple’s unbelievably romantic journey! Lynne and Patrick met and started dating whilst still at school, at the tender age of fourteen. After dating for more than a decade, their love truly stood the test of time, and the perfect wedding was in order! (Although the couple shared with me that they never had a doubt that they would one day be husband and wife!)
Lynne wanted a truly romantic atmosphere, with warm shades of maroon and burnt tangerine, and a baroque influence! What a treat (for us)! Agape Wedding and Event Design began by customizing hand-crafted stationery that was to set the tone for the magical day, complete with a custom-designed monogram built onto the hand picked, pearlised ivory card. The hand crafted stationery was courtesy of Blueprint Design Studio.
On to the decor, Agape Weddings paired imported, crushed velvet, jacquard-embossed ivory cloths with fruitwood tiffany chairs to set the canvas for the detail on the tables. The reception venue – Nooitgedacht Estate – was complemented by antique ornate mirrors, and a combination of vintage chandeliers, magical fairy light drops, soft up lighting and and a hint of colourwash for later in the evening.
Thanks to Something Different for their fabulous work on the lights! And to our wonderful suppliers who helped to make the day so beautiful! Leipzig Floral Design for the flowers, Kanya Hunt for the exquisite cake, DJ Rene‘s team for the entertainment, Riekert Cloete for the photography and Vision on Fire for the videography.
